Education:


2006 – 2007 -
Completed year 11 and 12 at Busselton Senior High School and was awarded dux of T.E.E music for both year 11 and 12.

2008 - 2010
– Completed a Bachelor of Music in Classical Performance on the tenor saxophone at The Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA).

2011
– Completed an Honours research degree with First Class Honours, which focused on career pathways for the twenty-first century classical tenor saxophonist at WAAPA.

2013/14 - Completed a Masters of Performance Degree with distinction at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester, United Kingdom.

Awards and Scholarships:


2009
- received honouree recognition for her studies by the Dean of Education and Arts, Edith Cowan University for receiving an average above 75% for the year.

2009 and 2011
– Erin’s saxophone quartet Just Sax received the most outstanding performance for the North of Perth Music Eisteddfod winning $2000.

2009
– received a scholarship of $1000 from the Western Australian Youth Jazz Orchestra (WAYJO) for being a promising member of WAYJO.

2010 and 2011
– received the highest performance recital mark amongst the woodwind and brass department.

2011
- won the Barbara MacLeod Scholarship awarded to the top performing student at WAAPA worth $10, 000.

2011
– was invited to be a member of the International Golden Key Society, given to international students who were in the top 5% of their field of study.

– Saxophone member of the Western Australian Youth Jazz Orchestra, Big Band and Composers Ensemble.

– Ongoing performances locally and internationally with her self organized saxophone quartet Just Sax.

– World premiered Deep Blue for tenor saxophone and piano written by English composer Andy Scott at WAAPA.

– Australian premiered Concertino for Tenor Saxophone and Orchestra composed by American composer Richard Rendleman at WAAPA.

– Australian premiered Dark Rain for 2 saxophones and symphonic band written by Andy Scott at WAAPA.

– Performed with Kate Ceberano at the opening of the Busselton jetty with her quartet Just Sax.

2013 - Performed Romeo and Juliet with the Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra

2013 - Toured with the Nederland's Blazers Ensemble throughout Holland for their family concert series

- Performed live on Channel 2 (Holland) for the New Years concert with the Nederland's Blazers Ensemble

2015 - Performed the Tallahatchie Concerto with the RNCM wind orchestra

Erin aspires to become an internationally renowned performer, promoter and tutor of the saxophone and is determined, as a life goal, to make Perth, Western Australia a sought after place to study saxophone throughout the entire world.
